Hi, Kathravels! Come along with me as we explore some of the world's most stunning locations
DISCOVERFamous for its white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, coral reefs, and splendid limestone rock formations. El Nido is arguably one of the most popular resort destinations in the Philippines.
My family and I went to El Nido because our relatives came from Bacolod, so we decided to go there for a vacation so we could show our relatives the beauty of El Nido. We traveled for 5-6 hours because we ate at OceanView Grill. and seafood, pass it before Roxas Palawan. The flight is tiring but worth it when you arrive in Elnido because it was my first time to go there, and we arrived at the right time because it was sunset time. The sunset was so beautiful between the island rock formations. The next day my family and I went island hopping; we went to Big Lagoon, Secret Lagoon, Entalula Island, and Seven Commando Beach.
The beauty of Elnido is amazing, especially if you go kayaking in the Big Lagoon. It's scary at first, but it's so worth it. We had lunch at Entula Island, and the food prepared by our boatmen was very delicious. You can also see a lot of different fish because you can go snorkeling, the next Island is the Secret Lagoon, it is just a small pool of water hidden within the intensenly tall limestone cliffs. Secret Lagoon is such a unique travel experience; you have to quite literally squezze through a small hole in a limestone thats why I was amazed to discover that there is a lagoon hidden among the rocks. If the lagoon is part of you package, proceed with caution since it can be hazardous and impossible to approach during large waves. Lastly at Seven Commando Beach. The other day we went for a walk in the town of Elnido. You can see the restaurants and bars here; you can also see a lot of tourists; there are souvenirs; and so on. The next day we were ready to go home, so all I can say about our adventure here in Elnido is worth it! So what are you waiting for?
BACKCome along with me Kathravels, Here in Manila!, the capital and second-most populous city of the Philippines after Quezon City. Situated on the eastern shore of Manila Bay on the island of Luzon, Manila is categorized as a highly urbanized city. This is my second visit to Manila, and during our time here we completed Solas. I'm still getting used to the city's overwhelming amount of cars and buildings, the distinct climate from the province, and the maze-like network of roads. We get tired of dealing with the traffic every time we head home from Time Plaza and Cavite during training.
We also went intramurous after the solas; we went around inside. You can see many historical sites and carriages here; you can also see the Manila cathedral and the San Augustin Church Museum. I felt the hardships of Filipinos when I came here, You can feel it here if you know the history of our country, the fort Santiago, where the walls were built during the Spanish Occupation here in the Philippines. Being the first shopping complex in Metro Manila, Greenhills Center is proud of its history. The Greenhills retail area was the next location my uncle and cousin visited. I knew there were a lot of phones, clothes, and other items for sale here, so we strolled around the mall to get a phone. Once we had completed our shopping, we boarded a taxi to return to Makati. Since there is usually traffic in Manila, it took us between thirty and forty-five minutes to get here. If you want to visit Manila, be prepared to be patient.
Come with me to take a tour of Bonifacio Global City, where everything that you need is conveniently. it is a thoughtfully master planned 240-hectare mixed-use estate, located in the heart of Taguig City, and the country’s leading central business and lifestyle district. With charming and inspired residential districts, easy access to world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment, and home to some of the metro’s best corporate buildings, it truly redefines contemporary live, work, and play.
It is among the greatest places I have been in Manila; it is well-kept and frequented by many, particularly local businesspeople. If you have the opportunity to explore the city at night, I highly recommend visiting this location. Along with a lot of other things, this place has a lot of lights, hosts occasional events, and typically has a large number of artists. I met my friends at BGC when we arrived here at approximately seven o'clock. We went to field soccer at BGC to watch my cousin play football. There were too many people of different races that you can see here in Bonifacio Global City. I walked in BGC by myself and didn't need a car because it's nice to just walk because you won't be bored, but you'll get lost if you don't have a map, because I got lost back in football field.
The major feature of this Venice-inspired mall is a reproduction of Italy's Grand Canal, which draws thousands of tourists every year. You may hang a love lock over the Ponte de Amore Bridge, take a traditional gondola ride with singing gondoliers, and peruse the bazaars and curiosity stores for delicious food and unusual mementos at this outdoor mall. Additionally, the mall welcomes pets, so you may bring your animal companions shopping with you. To avoid the crowds and long wait times for the gondola ride, head there early on weekday mornings. Take a city tour of Manila's most picturesque locations, which may include a stop to this mall. Here in Manila, it is also a popular tourist destination.
My cousin and I took a taxi to the Venice Canal, and it took five to ten minutes to get there. From the exterior, the building appears to be quite beautiful, like a castle due to its architectural inspiration from Rome and Italy. In order to fully appreciate Venice's splendor, we traveled there at night. After arriving, we had dinner at McDonald's and then had a stroll through Venice. We were in awe of Venice's splendor; unfortunately, we didn't have much time to explore it because we still had to get to BGC and it was getting late.
BACKJohan's travels with photography are characterized by so much passion for discovery and storytelling. He started with travels just to get away from the routine, see the world, and go through places. His camera became the best companion by capturing the stunning beauty and unique stories of the places visited. Johan's attention to detail and sense of being able to touch the heart of a place make his work stand out among so many others taken by travelers.
Maybe one of the most famous projects Johan has been engaged in was "Peaks of Europe," which he spent five whole months traveling around Europe to photograph the most beautiful mountain landscapes. Here, one could find out not only his incredible skills as a photographer, but also his devotion to exploring and sharing the hidden treasures of the continent. His book sold out in no time, testifying to his ability to affect people through his visuals.
Workshops and photo tours by Johan are of great significance in his profession. The events are open for photographers at all levels who want to learn from Johan's expertise. In these events, participants get practical experience in fabulous locations learning composition, light, and storytelling. Such a teachable nature and openness of Johan make the workshops extremely sought after.
Apart from his travel photography, Johan has been undertaking many commercial projects and work in collaborations with renowned brands. He has successfully combined the commercial demands with his artistic vision, so that is why he is very much in demand among a number of campaigns.
Johan's dedication to the craft and his quest for adventure have made him a darling of the photography world. The journey he undertook is a source of inspiration to many: dedication and perseverance in the line of passion will bring out dreams into reality.
BACKRobert Byron was an English travel writer born on February 26, 1905, in Wembley, London. He is probably best known for the book "The Road to Oxiana," where he clearly talked about his adventures in Persia and Afghanistan. His life was full of strong curiosity and a deep love for exploring new places. He studied history at Oxford and later left to travel the world, which he described in his writing.
Byron traveled from Greece to India and from the Soviet Union to Tibet. It was a mix of experiences where he used his eye for details and his love for art and architecture. The travel stories alone made a journey-they included the people he met, the cultures he experienced, and the histories he learned about.
His most popular book was "The Road to Oxiana" of 1937. Here Byron gives evidence of the adventurer soul of his personality. This is really a long trip; a man takes a nine month trip from Venice to an area called Oxiana located adjacent to Afghanistan and Iran. The reader likes Byron for seeing the scenery, buildings, and faces, because of his amusing and quick writing.
He also had other significant works like "Europe in the Looking Glass" and "The Byzantine Achievement." Usually, his works mix personal experience with a historical viewpoint, making them both informative and fun to read. In this way, Byron was one of those who cared deeply about saving monuments long before others talked about it.
Sadly, Robert Byron died in World War II, torpedoed by a German submarine in 1941 while on board his ship. However, life had gone only up to an early age, but yet he is one of the greatest travel writers. From him, threads of history, culture, and personal experience have inspired countless writers and adventurers through him.
Robert Byron, while going around and writing in such a charismatic style, shows us the charm and richness of different cultures on the face of this earth. He's full of information from works for any explorer.
BACKLittle Things Cafe is your local cafe located in San Pedro's residential Zone 2 on Abanico Road. Korean food, milk tea, and coffee are all available at Little Things Cafe. They also do minimalist/Bento cakes and personalized cakes. I have many memories of this café because my boyfriend and I dine there on important occasions, such as when we go on a monthly date or when something positive happens to us, and my friends also do. Since the cafe had just opened, my friends and I headed there as soon as we learned about it on Facebook. We enjoy eating here due of the comfortable atmosphere and the fact that we both enjoy K-pop.
The location's aesthetic appeal attracts to young people who enjoy Korean culture, particularly social climbers. Their food and drinks are very stylish and they really follow the trends. Young people can afford their prices because their products are affordable, but they have a small space, so most of the customers eat takeout, but they also have nice tables inside that are really Korean in style because you sit on the floor with a pillow and can write anything you want to remember when you return. They also have books if you want to read, but once more, it's occupied, especially when there are plenty of customers. Nevertheless, it's pleasant overall, and I enjoyed the music they play every day—it's practically Korean. I'm confident that I won't let you down if you enjoy K-pop, so I'd suggest this coffee shop!
BACKOriginally from 1950 as a very small noodle shop by brothers Ting in Quiapo, Manila, it has been called up right from after World War II as starting point. Famous for really tasty chicken and lomi, the brothers' Savory has a special fried chicken formula that proved very popular leading to the opening of Escolta's first Savory Chicken House. They gradually added more Filipino and Chinese dishes to their menu, such as pancit canton, lumpiang shanghai, and fried rice. In 2007, the third generation of the Ting family changed the restaurant's name to Classic Savory and opened new locations in major malls throughout the Philippines. Today, Classic Savory is known for its delicious and cheap food and comfortable setting. It has more than 100 branches across the country, from malls to having their own establishment, drawing in customers with its tasty meals and well-known savory fried chicken, which is crispy outside and soft inside.
Classic Savory is located at SM Palawan. Chicken Savory is only available here in SM. The restaurant is always busy with hungry customers who enjoy their famous chicken dishes. It is my first time eating at Classic Savory because my boyfriend's family invited me to join them for lunch, and my boyfriend introduced me to his parents so that I was so happy and at the same time shy, but we never expected that we'd be satisfied with their menu. Because it's also their first time to eat there, I just loved the soup and pancit so much! We ordered lumpia Shanghai rolls that we love so much and their famous chicken. Although not really that cheap, it was worth the price. The chicken was okay, but maybe it was just heated through the microwave. The staff were friendly and attended to us immediately. And this restaurant is just located on the second floor of SM Mall; when you go up the escalator, you can see the restaurant on the left side. As well as the ambiance of the restaurant being very vintage, I think it's because of the history of the owner of classic savory, there is deep experience, or the restaurant has been built for too long. I would be happy if you tried this restaurant next time.
BACKIn the lively province of Rio Tuba, My family celebrate New Year's Eve with excitement. Placing twelve round fruits on the table for good luck, and wear polka dot clothes. As midnight approaches, children wave sparklers and firecrackers light up the sky. Families gather together, eating traditional foods like bibingka and pancit. When the clock strikes twelve, they hug each other, make loud noises to chase away bad spirits, and hope for a wonderful year ahead, with the sounds of fireworks filling the air. In the morning, my family is getting our food ready for New Year's Eve. My mother gets the ingredients ready to cook our meal, like Pancit Bihon, while my sister orders some desserts for her friends. I, on the other hand, have to turn the bamboo stick while the pork is put on it, cooking it into a lechon belly. After cooking, I always make mango graham for dessert. We would buy firecrackers and fireworks for the new year's eve after cooking. Me and my sister are still awake in the evening playing games on our phones because my parents usually sleep early to rest for the new year. We wake up our parents when 12 midnight strikes. We will light firecrackers and fireworks at midnight on the 12th. Then we clean up and eat our food. Then after eating, we sleep, and that how we celebrate the new year's eve.
